The Tennessee Hospitality & Tourism Association (TnHTA) fosters the success and profitability of the hospitality industry in Tennessee. By collectively investing in education, marketing, governmental affairs, and information services,TnHTA offers many benefits and services for our membership.
Members receive excellent advocacy and government relations services from the TnHTA professional lobbying and government relations staff, who work diligently to promote the inters of the hospitality and tourism industry on both the state and national level. Members receive regular legislative updates and are eligible to participates in TnHTA's annual Day on the Hill and TnHTPAC events. Advocacy services are also provided to members on the local (city, county) level as needed.
TnHTA plans and conducts a number of professional development/educational opportunities for its members each year, including the annual Tennesee Governor's Conference on Hospitality & Tourism and the Certified Tennessee Tourism Professional College. TnHTA also hosts the "Blizzard," the annual professional development program for the state's destination marketing organizations. Members are welcomed to participate in other industry educational activities such as the ProStart and HTMP programs. They are also encouraged to participate in the activities of the TnHTA Education Foundation, which works to integrate hospitality & tourism studies in Tennessee High Schools and Colleges and provides scholarships to students enrolled in these programs.
Members have access to TnHTA's growing research library, which includes information Tennessee lodging tax rates and usage, DMO/CVB organizational models and best practices, attraction data and research, and the latest in travel and tourism research from the Federal Government, the U.S. Travel Association, the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development, and other national and regional organizations such as Destination Marketing Association International, Southeast Tourism Society, Travel South, Meeting Planners International, and the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions.
